This Privacy Policy describes how GoTransfer ("we", "us", "company") collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal data of Users and Drivers who use our Platform.

GoTransfer is headquartered in Switzerland and processes data in accordance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679), and, where applicable, U.S. regulations (including the CCPA/CPRA).

2. Types of data collected

For all Users:

• Identifying data: first name, last name, date of birth.
• Contact data: e-mail, phone, address.
• Usage data: ride history, reviews, messages, technical data (IP, device, cookies).

For Drivers:

• Additional identifying data: copy of the driving licence and professional permits required to operate chauffeur services or other transport activities in the country of operation.
• Payment data: bank details or another method indicated by the Driver to receive invoice payments.
• Tax data required to comply with legal obligations.

Payment data from Users (passengers):

• Handled exclusively by Stripe. GoTransfer neither stores nor accesses sensitive data (e.g. card numbers).

3. Purpose of processing

• Provide intermediation services between Users and Drivers.
• Manage bookings, payments, cancellations, and refunds.
• Manage User and Driver accounts and verify Drivers' requirements.
• Make invoice payments to Drivers.
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and unlawful activity.
• Fulfil legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
• Send service communications or commercial information (only with consent).

4. Legal basis

• Performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Legal obligations (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Platform.
• Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) for direct marketing activities and non-essential cookies.

5. Data retention

• Account data: stored for the duration of the contractual relationship.
• Inactive accounts: kept for up to 12 months and then deleted or anonymized.
• Tax and accounting data: stored for the period required by Swiss and European regulations (typically 10 years).

6. Data sharing

• Drivers and Users involved in the Ride.
• Third-party providers (Stripe for payments, IT providers, hosting).
• Competent authorities in case of legal obligations.

GoTransfer does not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

7. International transfers

Data is processed mainly in Switzerland and the EU. If transferred to third countries (e.g. the United States), we apply appropriate contractual safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent).

8. Data subjects' rights

• Access, rectification, and deletion of data.
• Restriction or objection to processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

Users in California (CCPA/CPRA): have the right to know which data we collect, request its deletion, and not suffer discrimination for exercising those rights.

The Platform uses technical cookies and, with consent, analytical or marketing cookies. See the separate Cookie Policy for details.

10. Data security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. Nevertheless, no system is completely secure: using the Platform entails residual risks that the User accepts.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Changes will be published on the Platform and, if relevant, communicated to registered Users.
